COVID-19 Update

New students must have applied to the college and completed orientation prior to meeting with their academic advisor.

Advisors are continuing to meet with students by phone or an online web meeting. A confirmation email for your appointment will be sent to your student Bruinmail (email) that you can access through MySLCC. Please check your Bruinmail for confirmation of your appointment.

Academic Advisors are available by appointment only. You can now find your advisor and make an appointment through MySuccess. If you need assistance finding your advisor or help with making an appointment, please call the Academic Advising Front Desks at Redwood 801-957-4978, Jordan 801-957-6215, or South City 801-957-3361. If there is no answer, please leave a voicemail and we will get back to you shortly or you can email our Staff Support Specialist at Cami.Knapp@slcc.edu.

South City, Jordan, and Taylorsville Redwood Student Center offices are open from 8:00-9:00 AM for "high-risk" population to come in person to schedule appointments. In person office hours for all other populations are 9:00 AM-5:00PM at those campuses. Face coverings are required in all SLCC buildings and social distancing is encouraged when possible.

Advisor availability for in-person or evening appointments are listed on their individual schedules on MySuccess or you may contact the advisor via email if you need an appointment outside of the times that are listed. You can find your advisor's contact information on our website. Due to an increased volume of emails our advisors receive, please allow at least 3-4 business days for a response.

Important: You must attend orientation before meeting with an Academic Advisor.

Steps to schedule an appointment with an advisor

Step 1: Log in at your MySLCC page.
Step 2: Select the “ADVISING” tab.
Step 3: Select “Login to MySuccess” option.
Step 4: Check your My Success Network on your homepage to see who your Primary Advisors are for each service on campus OR if your desired staff member/campus service isn’t listed in your Success Network, you can type them into the search bar.
Step 5: Click on the staff member you would like to meet to view their Schedule Appointment Button
Step 6: Select your date, time, and location (in-office, phone, or WebEx video chat).
You will receive a confirmation email to your Bruinmail. 

It takes 1-2 days after Admission to SLCC for your MySuccess account to be created. Prospective students and students who are very recently admitted to the college should call the Academic Advising Front Desk to make an appointment.

*The Online Advisor email has been replaced to facilitate students contacting their assigned advisor directly. Please see Find Your Advisor by Program or General Studies to find your advisor's contact information.
