Lab & Software Access

Line

The Architecture Department's CAD and BIM classes require the use of computers and software Some of their lecture based classes also require the same to perform assigned projects and homework.  To meet this requirement, there are several options available to the students.

  1. Open Lab - TB 403.  This is an open lab for both Architecture and Interior Design students.  The hours are from 7:00 am - noon.

  2. Laptop computers.  Each campus has a set of laptop computers for student checkout.  They are limited to a day or weekends.  The Taylorsville/Redwood campus computers are available for check out in the Markosian Library.

  3. SLCC has recently made their network software available over the Internet via ALL ACCESS.  This allows you to access your network files along with AutoDesk software on virtually any computer with Internet access.  Go to http:\\allaccess.slcc.edu and follow directions to download client software on your computer.  If there are any issues installing and running the client, see Matt Mason (matthew.mason@slcc.edu).

  4. Free software for student download.  AutoDesk, the manufacturer of the CAD/BIM software the architecture department uses,  allows students to download and use the software for free. Below are links to how to access this software.
