American Sign Language Program

SLCC's American Sign Language Associate of Arts (AA) degree program offers courses in language, literature, and culture that will help you function within the Deaf community using ASL, while giving you a strong foundation in American Sign Language and Deaf culture as well as a broader appreciation for intellectual ideals and values. You will be well prepared to pursue studies at a four-year institution in Education, Deaf Studies, medical fields, sales fields, acting, and ASL/English Interpreting. The Salt Lake Community College ASL program is committed to supporting the Deaf community by teaching students ASL, Deaf Culture, and History.

Besides our rich course offerings, you can participate in our ASL Club and develop your American Sign Language skills in our ASL Language Lab.
