Emily Larsen Emily Larsen #00

Emily a Brighton High School product becomes a Bruin after lettering three times in softball.  Emily was 1st team All-Region her junior and senior years and was the named the Team MVP. As a Bruin Emily wants to work hard, have fun and be a huge contributor to her team.  One thing special about Emily, she is the only member in her family to receive a scholarship and play collegially.

Personal Motto: 
     No Regrets, live life to the fullest and work hard ALWAYS.
Favorite Team: New York Yankees
Hobbies:  Softball, Swimming, Skiing, art, cooking and hang with family and friends 

Dani Ibrahim Dani Ibrahim # 1

After starting 30 games and batting .283 as a Freshmen Dani looks to continue her success for the Bruins.  With her .994 fielding percent Dani adds sophomore experience in the infield at first base.  Dani enjoys Salt Lake for the small groups and the one-on-one coaching time.  In Dani’s future she plans on becoming a pharmacist.

Hobbies: Reading and sleeping

Kylie Haimin Kylie Haimin #2

Kylie “KOO”, as her team calls her, joins her teammates Brooke and Jessie from Riverton High School.  At RHS Koo lettered all four years and during her senior year Koo was a 1st team All-State selection.  While at Salt Lake, Koo wants to improve her hitting and maintain a 3.5 GPA or better.

Hobbies: Softball, Snowboarding, Four wheeling and Camping

Mindy Schvanveldt Minday Schvaneveldt #3

Mindy a standout shortstop at Murray High School joins her teammate Koby.  After winning a state title her junior year Mindy set her sights on playing at the next level.  Mindy plans on majoring in General Studies and maintaining a 3.5 GPA while at Salt Lake.

Brooke Olsen Brooke Olsen #7

A four-year letter winner at Riverton, Brooke is ready to get dirty for the Bruins.  Brooke joins her teammates Jessie and Koo from Riverton High School.  As a Silverwolf Brooke was 1st team All-region and 1st team All-State her junior and senior years.  During her senior year Brooke was named the best all around player by her team.

Hobbies: Hunting, fishing, softball and hanging out with friends

Jessie Cozzens Jessie Cozzens # 8

A two-sport athlete at Riverton High School Jessie comes to Salt Lake to become a stronger and better pitcher.  In her senior year at RHS Jessie earned 1st team All-State and All-Region honors.  Jessie’s goals at Salt Lake are to maintain a 3.0 GPA or better and to earn her degree.  One thing unique about Jessie is that she loves to sing.

Personal Motto: Put forth your best and you’ve already won

Hobbies: Sports, singing, shopping and hanging out

Lindsey Palmer Lindsey Palmer #10

Lindsey returns to the Bruins after leading the team with 19-8 record and 193 strikeouts.  Lindsey a 2nd team All-Region selection, she also helped at the plate with 45 RBI’s and a .320 batting average.  Lindsey wants to improve on being a better leader and teammate in her sophomore year.  Her best memory of her freshmen season was sweeping NIC to win the SWAC title. 

Hobbies: piano, basketball, running, reading, scrap booking

Koby Solorio Koby Solorio # 11

Koby pulls the Bruin jersey after being a three-sport athlete at Murray High School.  As a Spartan, Koby won two state championships in softball her sophomore and senior years and one in Tennis her junior year.  She was a three sport letter winner adding an All-State nod her senior year in softball.  Koby choose to come to Salt Lake because it was close to home.

Hobbies: Wakeboarding and Snowboarding

Favorite Team:  New York Yankees and Derek Jeter

Favorite other Sport: Tennis

Lisa Riches Lisa Riches #12

Lisa joins the Bruins after a standout career at Kearns High School.  A two-sport athlete at Kearns, Lisa lettered in softball all four years and was a two times 1st team all region and 2nd team all-state award winner.  Lisa plans to become a physical therapist and wants to achieve an Academic All-American award.

Personal Motto: IF you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything.

Megan Staley Megan Staley# 13

Megan, or more commonly know as Jar, returns for her sophomore season with improved knowledge of the game as a whole.  Jar held a .231 batting average and looks to improve on her mental game this year.  One thing Jar loves about Salt Lake is the close-knit team and the competitiveness.  As a Freshmen Jar earned a Distinguished Academic All-American award and was on the Presidents list.  Jar plans on majoring in Meteorology.

Jasey Jensen Jasey Jensen # 15

Jasey becomes a Bruin after a fantastic four years at Layton High School.  During her career at LHS Jasey was the 5-A MVP, All-State, All-Region and All-State Academic.  Jasey choose to become a Bruin because of the great coaching staff.  Something interesting about Jasey during her four years as a Lancer she played all four-infield positions.

Favorite Team: Chargers

Danielle Swopes Danielle Swopes # 16

Danielle better know as “Swopes” comes to Salt Lake after being a three-sport star athlete at Layton High School.  Swopes played Volleyball, Basketball and Softball for the Lancers.  She lettered in all three sports her junior and senior years and was awarded the Outstanding three year athlete award for LHS.

Erica Park Erica Park # 20

A three-sport athlete from Bear River Erica now wears the blue and gold.  Erica lettered all four years in volleyball, basketball and softball.  She was the team MVP for each sport, 1st team All-State in volleyball and softball and region MVP in basketball.  Academically Erica was in the top 20% of her high school.  Erica chooses to come to Salt Lake because of the winning ways and the coaching staff.

Tara Bendt Tara Bendt # 21

With her .401 batting average and 13 stolen bases to lead the team Tara looks to increase both and help the Bruins in defending there SWAC title.  Tara best memory during her freshmen season, along with her twin sister, is sweeping NIC and winning the conference.  In her future Tara wants to continue her career at a 4-year school and decided on her major.

Kara Bendt Kara Bendt #22

Kara returns for her sophomore year looking to improve on a great freshmen season.  During her first year Kara batted .302 and was 14-7 with a 3.63 era for the Bruins.  Kara also received 2nd team All-Region honors.  Kara’s best memory from last year was beating NIC four times in a row.  Academically Kara was on the dean’s list but looks to improve that by becoming an Academic All American.

Amy Broadbent Amy Broadbent #24

Amy a Cyprus High School alum joins the Bruins ready to contribute.  A three-sport star at Cyprus, Amy earned letters in basketball, softball and volleyball.  During her senior year she was awarded All-State honors and team MVP.  Amy also received the Distinguished Female Athlete of the year award.  While at SLCC Amy wants to be successful in softball and in the classroom.

Personal Motto: Don’t give up no matter how hard it gets
