  • Avid Pro Tools software and Steinberg Cubase installed on all workstations. These are both highly regarded professional Digital Audio Workstations (DAW’s) and students who wish to work in professional production are expected to have Pro Tools experience.

  • A Live Room whose acoustics may be adjusted to accommodate a wide variety of musical instruments and ensembles from individual performers to a full orchestra
  • Two sound proof Isolation Booths
  • A control room featuring a 48 channel Solid State Logic Duality console tied to Mac based digital audio workstation running Pro Tools and Nuendo software
  • A large collection of microphones from Neumann, AKG, Telefunken, Sennheiser, Shure and others
  • All of this allows us to provide our students in the Music Recording Technology and Commercial Music programs access to state-of-the-art, real-world technology while preparing them for a wide variety of careers in electronic media

  • Analog mixing – analog console operation in signal acquisition and mixdown
  • Digital mixing – Digital Audio Workstation operation in signal acquisition and mixdown
  • Analog processing – microphone pre-amps, compression, gating, EQ, reverb, delay, etc
  • Digital processing – post production application of ‘plug-in’ processors
  • Audio acquisition via tie-lines (digital and/ or analog) of events in other spaces; Grand Theater concerts, Television productions, meetings in multi-purpose rooms, choir rehearsals etc
