Context for Salt Lake Community College Job Fairs
- Students are looking for part-time and full-time opportunities to help pay for school and cost of living.
- Many students are "shopping" around for jobs and companies to fit their needs and personal values.
- Students top three priorities according recent data is- 1. companies who actively value diverse, inclusive, and equitable practices, 2. companies who offer flexible hours, and 3. companies who minimally pay $14.00 an hour.
- It is important to note that we call these all major fairs a job fair, not a career fair. Students are not always looking for a lifelong career at these events.
- Some students may be required to participate in an in-person fair for a class assignment.
- Speaking Spanish and recruiting in Spanish is highly encouraged!
The last day to pay and register is March 4th or until we hit capacity.
