MySuccess is where you can schedule an appointment to spend one-on-one time with a dedicated Career Coach. During your in-person, over the phone, or WebEx meeting you can discuss topics like:

1. Career exploration 

2. Work for Credit (Cooperative/Internship Course)

5. LinkedIn Profile Review

Schedule an Appointment with a Career Coach

To schedule an appointment, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to your MySLCC account
  2. Click on the Advising tab
  3. Scroll down to "Login to MySuccess" located under "Find Your Advisor"
  4. Click on Career Services in the location of your choosing
  5. Click on your Career Coaches profile and it will bring up a “schedule appointment” button
  6. Look at the availability and schedule an appointment

Note: Students who have not been admitted to SLCC will need to call the front desk at 801-957-4014 for an appointment. We stop seeing students at 4 pm via appointments unless otherwise noted by your Career Coach.

The Career Studio helps you design your path forward—whether its updating your resume, looking for a new job opportunity, typing up a cover letter, or needing some quick advice from a peer mentor. While our team will be serving students remotely, we are committed to providing a variety of services and resources to students online. Below are options in how SLCC Career Services can best support you moving forward: 

Resume Review 

Get personalized feedback by uploading your resume to College Central Network. You will need to create an account on College Central Network and click on “My Resumes” to upload your resume. In some cases, new and returning students are automatically uploaded to the College Central Network system and may need to do the following: 

Step 1: Login to your MySLCC page  

Step 2: On the Bruinmail section, click on “Open Mail”  

Step 3: On the search bar above your inbox, type “studentemployment” with the title “Your Salt Lake Community College Account on College Central Network” 

Step 4: Click on “Activate Your Account” to reset your password 

 

Jobs and Internships 

Visit College Central Network to view on and off campus employment and search for local internships. You will need either create or activate your College Central Network account before you can search for jobs and internships.  College Central Network also has free Career Resources to best help you feel prepared as you search for your next opportunity.
