Graduation vs. Commencement: What’s the difference?

Graduation is a step-by-step process leading up to the receiving of your official degree. If you haven’t applied for graduation yet, please contact the SLCC Graduation Office at 801-957-4035, or stop by the office at the Taylorsville Redwood Campus, Student Center Building, room 270C.

Commencement refers to the ceremony, officiated by the President of Salt Lake Community College, which is an opportunity for the students to share the excitement and importance of their academic accomplishments with peers, family and friends.
