Who Should Attend

  • Faculty are invited to a breakfast beginning at 8:15 a.m. in the Lillehammer Room. Enter through the VIP/ADA entrance on the southeast side of the Maverik Center.
  • Regalia Rentals - Orders for regalia rentals must be made by March 15 in order to receive the correct custom regalia to reflect your alma mater, degree and field of study. After that date, you can rent an “extra”, which will be an associate gown/hood for SLCC, without choices of degree and field of study colors. We are limited on quantity and sizes for the “extras”, so earlier is better.
  • Regalia Purchases - To purchase regalia, orders must be placed directly with the Taylorsville Redwood Bookstore and received by March 2 to guarantee delivery by graduation. After that date, you can pay an expedited fee, but there is no guarantee on arrival date.
    • Please contact Carolyn Atchley at extension 801-957-4048 or carolyn.atchley@slcc.edu if you want to purchase regalia or need assistance submitting your rental order.

Accessibility

  • All faculty, regardless of permanent or temporary physical disabilities, are encouraged to participate in commencement. ASL interpreters and open-captioning services will be provided during the ceremony. Other accommodations will be made upon request. For more information or to request accommodations, contact Julie Smith in the Disability Resource Center at 801-957-4854 (voice) or 801-057-4646 (TTY).
  • The Maverik Center is wheelchair accessible from the south parking lot through the VIP main entrance. The drop-off area is in front of the building near the main entrance.
  • The Maverik Center recognizes the needs of guests with disabilities, as defined by the American Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990. Maverik Center continues to make every effort to comply with state and federal accessibility regulations and accommodate guests with disabilities.
  • Due to safety regulations, all aisles in the arena must be kept clear of children, strollers, wheelchairs and all other obstacles during the ceremony.
