WHO IS ELIGIBLE: Any and all currently registered SLCC concurrent enrollment students.
TOPIC: Must teach other students, in a fun way, a skill they need to know in order to be successful in both concurrent enrollment and in college. This video can be fun, serious, funny, scary, dramatic, or whatever other mood or style the student would like to explore. Shoot it on your phone, with a video camera, or using school video equipment if your school is OK with that.
MAXIMUM DURATION: 30-60 Seconds
PRIZES: The winning student will receive a pizza party for his or her entire concurrent enrollment class plus 4 free movie tickets. The runner-up will receive two free movie tickets, and third place will receive a cool SLCC branded prize.
DEADLINES: Submissions are due on MARCH 15 and will be posted live on the SLCC Concurrent Enrollment YouTube channel on April 1. By May 1 the video that has the most views will be announced as the winner. Students will be notified on April 1 that their video has been posted, and they will be encouraged to share the link to their YouTube video to increase their views and their chances to win.
SUBMISSION PROCESS: Students submit their videos by emailing the video through their SLCC Bruinmail account to slccconcurrent@gmail.com. Be sure to include:
- First name
- Last name
- SLCC S Number
- Name of the concurrent teacher you are currently taking a class from
- High school you are attending.
Once uploaded, the videos will be reviewed to ensure they that do not contain any behavior or content that would be inappropriate at the high school and that they meet the 30-60 second time limit. Videos that do not meet those criteria will be disqualified.
