A CE Work Report is a system of tracking liaison work performed by SLCC faculty liaisons who are full-time or adjunct faculty of a SLCC academic department. These liaisons ensure the curricular integrity of the courses they oversee and instructor competency in delivering that curriculum. 

With changes in faculty rank structure, payment for Liaison Work reports is up to the discretion of both the liaison and the SLCC academic department. Some full-time faculty and academic departments may choose to count concurrent enrollment work toward faculty service hours, others may elect to perform liaison work outside of the faculty contract and receive additional payment. Adjunct faculty who perform liaison work are always paid for work performed, but cannot exceed 125 hours of total work per month, including contracted teaching assignments, liaison work, and any other work being performed by the college.

Pre-approval from the SLCC Concurrent Enrollment Director and the appropriate SLCC Academic Department is required for all work preformed by a liaison. This pre-approval is handled through the liaison Work report which is submitted by the liaison through the Concurrent Enrollment MyCE system.

The Concurrent Enrollment Office will pay only for work reports that have been approved by both the SLCC CE director and the associate dean, and have been verified as completed by the teacher who the work is performed for or by other means. Work reports should be completed before the work is initiated and all forms should be finalized in MyCE within one week of completing the work report.

Below is a list of payment policies for site visits and liaison projects:

  • Syllabus review, annual professional development, and new teacher training are required each year to ensure curricular integrity and instructor competency in delivering the college curriculum. 
  • Site visit frequency is up to the discretion of the academic department, but should not generally exceed the frequency required of SLCC adjuncts except in cases of concern over the instructors ability to deliver the college curriculum according to the academic department standard.
  • Once the forms have been finalized in MyCE it may take up to four weeks before the payment is deposited (see the SLCC pay schedule). Payment will be made according to the SLCC payroll calendar.

The table below lists standards times and total pay for each liaison activity. Faculty liaisons are paid $40/hour for work performed for the SLCC Concurrent Enrollment Department. Liaisons may spend less or more time on each activity depending on the specific circumstances. Exceeding the standard rates by a substantial amount of time requires documented justification and special approval from both the CE director and the associate dean.

Meetings

Adjunct faculty who are part-time liaisons will be the college standard rate of approximately $22/hr for attending any required meetings specifically related to the role and responsibility of the liaison hosted by the concurrent enrollment department.
