Admissions Application Fee
A one time, $40, non-refundable admission and processing fee is required in order to take Concurrent Enrollment classes. Admission means being accepted as a SLCC student. You must be admitted before you can register for classes. See Step 2: Applying for Admission for new students.
As of Summer 2013 concurrent enrollment students are required to pay a partial tuition of $5 per credit hour for each class they are taking ($15 for a 3 credit hour class, $20 for a 4 credit hour class, etc.). To find out how to pay your partial tuition visit the MyPage tuition tutorial.
Some concurrent enrollment classes include fees which are managed by the high school. Fees may be charged for the use of labs, equipment or other resources. If you are taking these concurrent enrollment classes you are responsible for paying fees. If lab fees and/or course fees are associated with student’s CE @SLCC courses, the fees will appear on the student’s SLCC MyPage account in the “Student” tab and can be paid online through MyPage using a credit card or in person at the SLCC Cashier window. Failing to pay fees associated with your courses can result in a ‘Hold’ being placed on your student record, which will prevent you from registering for future courses.
Textbooks are not provided for Concurrent Enrollment courses. You may be required to purchase textbooks, workbooks and other resources required for concurrent enrollment courses. In some cases, however, high schools may purchase classroom sets for you to use. Textbooks may be purchases at the SLCC Bookstores or online.
If you are attending a private high school, you must pay a $20.00-per-credit-hour fee.
