National Certified Pool Operator - Registered Pool Operator in Utah

Note! Due to COVID-19, all CPO courses and recertification courses are being delivered in live webinars. Participants need a computer with Internet access, speakers, a microphone, and webcam, and will receive instructions on how to join the webinar after registration.

The Certified Pool Operator 1.5-day course (CEHZ 0516) provides Registered Pool Operator (RPO) training as required by the Utah Department of Health. This comprehensive training program covers skills such as pool and spa chemistry, testing, treatment, filtration, maintenance, and automatic feeding equipment. It also addresses state and county codes and other governmental requirements.

Participants must pass an examination given at the end of the training to receive their certification, which is valid for a period of five years. The course fee includes the Pool Operator’s Handbook produced and published by the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA). This handbook is a valuable resource and reference book for both the novice and the professional who must trouble shoot on a broad spectrum of functional problems.
