The Utah Legislature provides Short-Term Intensive Training (STIT) funds for Utah State residents who enroll in specific non-credit, short-term training courses. These funds cover 50% of the course cost and are available until depleted. At that point, the course cost will return to the regular cost. STIT funding is for individual job seekers. FOR EMPLOYERS
Using funds provided by the Utah State Legislature, Custom Fit provides short-term, non-credit training designed to grow, train, and retain an efficient and productive workforce. For-profit companies can use these funds to share the cost of incumbent worker training. Apply for Custom Fit funds to determine eligibility.
An overview of basic warehousing & materials handling procedures, including the role of warehousing in the supply chain; receiving, storing, fulfilling, shipping, and managing inventory processes; and safe handling of materials/equipment.
This course introduces students to fundamental global supply chain processes and principles that keep goods, services, and information flowing efficiently, with a focus on sustainable procurement, production, and delivery.

This course introduces students to the principles and theories of forklift and lift truck anatomy, inspection, maintenance, safe driving techniques, and OSHA requirements about certification and operation of powered industrial equipment in the warehouse.
Completion of all course material and a score of 70% or better on the exam are required to proceed to Forklift Driving Practice and Evaluation.
Students will complete an online introduction to the certification process and then attend up to three days of driving practice and then an Instructor will complete a final evaluation. All forklift driving will take place on Saturdays.
