Students will learn the “interior design” of creating web pages using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) syntax and design best practices. Responsive websites will be designed using Bootstrap frameworks, following a semantic approach, and advanced CSS elements.
JavaScript is the most widely used programming language. Learn to use functions, variables, data types and arrays, string patterns, numbers, dates, and times. Evaluate how and when to program repetitive tasks and loops. Validate forms with JavaScript and jQuery validation plug-ins. Explore how to write efficient code, use external JavaScript files, and trouble-shoot and debug JavaScript.
This course is an introduction to the scripting languages of PHP and the world’s most popular database management system, MySQL. Students will learn how to integrate PHP and MySQL to create interactive and highly functional websites.
This course enables students to utilize the skills gained in other courses to finalize their capstone project and add to their portfolio. Students will showcase their website project with classmates and learn resume-building and interview tips specific to the industry.
