Career Workshops

We offer free job search skill workshops on:

An overview of how to format a cover letter and resume for the purpose of securing employment. We will cover the dos and don’ts of basic resume and cover letter writing. If you already have a resume and cover letter, please bring them with you to the workshop.

A discussion of effective interviewing techniques, including an overview of what a job seeker should do prior to the interview, during the interview, and after the interview has concluded. Time permitting, role playing is available.

Explore effective methods for job searching, including a discussion of various resources available to job seekers to help in their search.

Explore the various resources available to you help you discover your passions for academic study and a career path.

Overview of the basics including setting up an account, navigation, and uses of the professional social media site LinkedIn.
