| Salt Lake Community College offers a large number of Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. SLCC wants to send its CTE graduates into the workforce equipped with the appropriate training and knowledge necessary to improve their lives as well as develop Utahs economy. The college wants graduates to not only find work, but to excel in a satisfying career. We also want to provide trained and qualified workers to businesses and industry. | |
| PROGRAM ADVISORY COMMITTEES (PACs) In order to keep the CTE programs current with business and industry standards, the college has organized Program Advisory Committees (PACs). PACs consist of a number of Utahs industry leaders who have the responsibility of ensuring the viability of each CTE program by evaluating program equipment, space, curriculum, budget and enrollment needs. They then make the appropriate recommendations needed to improve each program. PACs also provide input regarding Concurrent Enrollment, faculty preparation, scholarships, internships, job placement, donations of equipment and cash and other program needs. Right now, there are nearly 50 PACs existing with Salt Lake Community College.

| Salt Lake Community College highly values the relationships with each PAC member and the CAC. The input and support from these industry leaders, distinguishes Salt Lake Community College as a premier institution of teaching and learning with comprehensive programs and curriculum. | |
