The Community Writing Center was featured in the “So You Want to Be an Artist” section of Salt Lake City Weekly’s 2006 Artys issue. The SLCC Community Writing Center was featured as the "Best Justification for Writer's Cramp" in the July-August issue of Salt Lake Magazine's look at the best people, products, and events in the state. "This isn't just a place to hone your haikus and sonnets (although both are welcome)," the article states. "The Community Writing Center will assist you through any writing process [and] don't worry, the mentors are nothing like your high school composition teacher."
