The mission of the School of Developmental Education is to ensure every student entering Salt Lake Community College the opportunity to improve basic educational competencies and life skills by enhancing college performance skills, by strengthening positive attitudes, by self-image and personal development, and by providing other learning enrichment opportunities that will help lead to success in the college environment and in life.

Preparation Note:
Students may enter most classes in developmental education any semester. They may enter a vocational/technical program after attaining entry-level requirements for that program. Upon completion of any SLCC course, students may receive high school credit through the Salt Lake or Granite school districts. (Student Services coordinates this function.)
Class Availability:
The semesters in which courses are taught are listed in the course descriptions. Students should check the semester class schedule for day/evening availability and modifications caused by varying enrollment. Links to other resources on the Web
