DIAL 1010 Introduction to the Care of the Dialysis Patient 3 cr
Prerequisite: GED or high school diploma is required. CNE/EMT or medical terminology is helpful but not required.
This class will explore normal and altered kidney functions, therapy concepts and technical aspects of dialysis therapy. Skilled Dialysis Patient Care Technicians (PCT) are needed to care for 200,000 patients nationally.  This class will inform the student about the job functions and career opportunities in this renal medical field.
