Dialysis FAQs graphic

What is Dialysis?
Dialysis is a treatment for end-state kidney disease.  It takes over when your kidneys are unable to filter your blood. Dialysis removes wastes, extra fluid and salt, and keeps a balance of certain components of your blood. Dialysis is needed when the kidney functions at less than 10% of its normal capacity.

Will this program be expanded?
We are optimistic that the demand for this valuable program will increase such that the program will grow.
What does PCT stand for?
PCT represents Patient Care Technician.
What types of advanced positions are available?
Biomed Technician, Lead Technician, and Acute Dialysis are just three of many positions.
Is financial aid available?
No, financial aid is not available.
