Students who successfully complete the program requirements with a grade of B or better will be awarded a Certificate of Achievement. These students are also eligible to take the FAA written and practical exams. 

Prerequisites may be required.  It is the student's responsibility to examine each course description for details of prerequisite classes.  Those prerequisites must be satisfied before the designated class may be taken.

DISP 1010  Regs, A/C Systems & Procedures, 3 CR, A
Prerequisite: PILT 1400, 2050 or concurrent w/ PILT 1400 & 2050.
This course includes FAR Part 1, 25, 61, 65, 71, 91, 119, 121, 139, 175, & NTSB 830, aircraft flight & general operating manuals, aircraft performance & systems, operating specs for aircraft type, and emergency/abnormal procedures.

DISP 1300  Dispatch Applications, 5 CR, A
Prerequisite: PILT 1400, 2050; DISP 1010 (recommended or concurrent w/ DISP 1300); PILT 1100 (recommended but not required)

This course will cover topics related to weather analysis & forecasts and flight navigation & planning.  Students will apply proper flight dispatch applications under FAR Part 121 from flight prep to departure with flight following & arrival.

PILT 1100 Private Pilot Ground School, 4 CR, A
Prerequisite: Concurrent with PILT 1140

A study of aviation fundamentals, principals of flight, aircraft & engine operations, weather, navigation, and radio communications as required by FAA regulations.  Students will be prepared to begin flight training.

PILT 1400  Intro to Air Traffic Control, 3 CR, A
This course overviews Air Traffic Control principles, rules, regulations, positions, responsibilities, terms & techniques. Pilots and perspective controllers will gain fundamental insight into the National Airspace System.

PILT 2050  Aviation Meteorology, 3 CR, A
This course covers atmospheric conditions and its effect on aeronautical applications.  Weather, developmental patterns, and observations from the pilot's perspective will be emphasized.

PILT 2150  ATP Written Exam Prep, 1 CR, A (Elective)
Course will overview theories and applications discussed in the 200 hours of dispatcher training.  Course is designed to prepare students to take the FAA exam for certification.
