The Economics program at SLCC is accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). Accreditation represents the achievement of meeting high national standards established for Associate Degree granting business programs and facilitates transfer of credits to four-year universities and colleges.

Degree Definitions:
AA - Associate of Arts: Two-year transfer degree with general education and premajor coursework
AS - Associate of Science: Two-year transfer degree with general education and premajor coursework
APE - Associate of Pre-Engineering: Two-year transfer degree with general education and premajor coursework
AAS - Associate of Applied Science: Two-year degree leading to employment or continued study
CC - Certificate of Completion: One-year program leading to employment or continued study
CP - Certificate of Proficiency: Short-term (approximately one semester) program focused on specific skills
