Certificates and Verifications

Certifications:

A SLCC department, division, or School may award a Certificate to students completing particular courses or sequences of courses.  The Certificate indicates a stand-alone specialization and certifies mastery or competency in the specific course(s) taken.  These certificate programs are not financial-aid eligible and, by themselves, do not lead to graduation.

Skills Center students who receive a Certificate also receive a competency transcript for any course or program completed.  Click here for more information on Skills Center programs.

To obtain a copy of a certificate please contact the department, division, or School which awarded the certificate.  If you are unsure of the correct department please call the Contact Center at (801) 957-4297 to be directed appropriately.

Verifications:

Salt Lake Community College has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to act as it’s agent for Enrollment Degree and Past Attendance Verifications.  Colleges and other institutions requesting verifications can get started by clicking Here.  You can contact the Clearinghouse via e-mail at enrollmentverify@studentclearinghouse.org, by telephone at (703) 742-4200, or by FAX at (703) 742-4239.  If the verification is missing information or seems incomplete, please Contact Us.

Alternatively, students requesting verifications can fax a completed Verification Request Form to SLCC at (801) 957-4961.
