REGISTER FOR CLASSES

Once you Apply For Admission and have been accepted at the College, registering for classes at Salt Lake Community College is easy to do. You can decide which of the following ways works best for you:

Register Online:

  • Log-in to MyPage.
  • Click on the Student tab.

Under Registration Tools, select the preferred options:

  • Registration Status
  • Look Up Classes
  • Add or Drop Classes
  • Change Class Options

You can find the SLCC Catalog and the current Class Schedule online.  To print or save a copy, select the PDF version of the Printed Class Schedule.

Priority Tickets

When you attempt to register for a class that is full, you will be given the opportunity to receive a “Priority Ticket.”  This Priority Ticket will allow you to participate in a special early registration for your desired class in the next semester.  While retaining your Priority Ticket, you may continue to make attempts to register for the class as openings occur in the current semester.

Repeat Courses

A student may repeat a course when a low grade is received.  When the repeated class has been graded, submit a completed Repeated Class Form to Enrollment Services.  The original grade remains on the transcript and the lower graded course is marked as a repeated course.  The highest grade received will be used to calculate the cumulative grade point average. 

A course taken or repeated at another institution must be received as transfer credit at Salt Lake Community College in order for it to be marked as a repeated course.  Please allow 24 hours for processing of repeats.

Senior Citizen Registration

Senior Citizens, age 62 and over, who are Utah residents can enroll in any classes for a reduced fee under the following conditions:

  • Space availability.
  • Classes will be taken on an audit basis (no college credit.)
  • $10 registration fee is required each semester.  This does not cover the cost of books, supplies, parking, or lab fees.
  • An Application for Admission as a non-matriculated (non-degree seeking) student must be submitted to Enrollment Services.
  • Do not complete the online application. To have your application fee waved, please complete the paper application.

Senior citizens desiring college credit for their classes must follow regular admissions and registration procedures and pay full tuition and fees.
