"About three hours outside of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, is a rural mountain village called Camatin. In this area, like throughout Haiti, people live with extreme heat and humidity in small, humble homes made of old wood or cinderblocks and roofs constructed with sheets of corrugated metal. Many people in Camatin subsist on very little and have very few possessions, yet they are often warm, strong, generous, grateful, and welcoming, qualities represented by the five beautiful women pictured here. Proceeds from the sale of these images to SLCC helped fund construction of a clean water system in Camatin."
