Fashion Institute
Internships
An internship can be an extraordinary experience for a student! Fashion Institute students have the opportunity to complete a supervised internship for three (3) credit hours. These internships may be required for particular Fashion degrees or certificates. The student is required to work 90 hours during their fifteen-week unpaid internship and their work experiences should be involved in all areas of the cooperating company.
The intern learns about the occupation, work environment, pressures, and rewards of the company's area of emphasis. Additionally, the intern gains work-related experience and develops interpersonal skills which showcase the intern as a potential employee. The following is a list of currently available internship opportunities. For more information or to apply, please contact Maria Skelton, Internship Coordinator. Maria can be reached by email at mskelto2@mymail.slcc.edu.
