The need for sound financial investments will grow because monetary transactions are and will continue to be the life-blood of every business and organization. The course work prepares students for various career paths including:

  • The financial service industry (banks, savings and loans, credit unions, mortgage and thrift companies)
  • Commercial and retail credit analysis
  • Credit granting and collections

Training in accounting, computer application, economics, business management and communication skills are emphasized as part of the finance program.

Finance and credit majors can apply their skills in other areas such as cash management, insurance, real estate, brokerage and investment activities of financial management.
