What is the Fitness Technician Program?

Y balance testThe Fitness Technician Program is designed to train students to meet the growing demand in the fitness profession for personal trainers.

Core courses include kinesiology, exercise physiology, nutrition, behavior modification, fitness assessment, program design, principles of weight training, flexibility, and cardio fitness. An internship of 120 hours is required to complete the degree.

Successful completion of the program prepares the graduate to sit for certifications from various national certifying organizations including (but not limited to): the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), the National Academy of Sports Medicine and the American Council on Exercise (ACE).
