JOB OPPORTUNITIES

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS TO TUTOR IN FOCUSED TUTORING:

• At least a 2.5 cumulative GPA
• Current or former SLCC students preferred
• Math tutors: Grade of B or better in MATH 1050 (College Algebra) or higher level math
• Other subjects: Grade B or better in subjects to be tutored

PAY RATE:

• $8.73 - $8.84 Tutor (Beginning - Non-Certified)
• $9.62 - $9.98 Tutor (w/Certification Class I - Offered Fall and Spring Semesters)
• $10.57 - $10.95 Tutor (w/Certification Class II - Offered Fall and Spring Semesters)
• Tutors who work for the program more than one semester, receive good reviews, and accumulate at least 50 tutor contact hours, may receive a $.25 raise.

• Tutor Application for Focused Tutoring (Faculty Referral form attached)
• Tutor Availability Schedule (included in the Application)
• Transcript from SLCC (this can be printed from your MyPage account)
• Transcripts from any other colleges you have attended
• Faculty Referral form (also attached to application) from an instructor in the area you would like to tutor. Have the instructor seal the form in an envelope and sign over the seal. The envelope can be attached to your application, dropped off in our mailbox in TB 213, faxed to (801) 957-4449, sent interoffice mail to Mail Stop DST, mailed to Jennifer Fasy, PO Box 30808 - DST, SLC, UT, 84130-0808, or email the same information to jennifer.fasy@slcc.edu
