Explaining General Education
Section 6.6 of the General Education Handbook asks faculty to explain to students that the course they are taking is a general education course, where it fits in the scope of general education courses, the nature of its general education designation, and the similarities and differences between that designation and others. The material below helps you explain general education to your students, and where your course fits into our general education requirements.
