Honors at Commencement

Honors Graduates

Students who complete coursework with a cumulative grade point average between 3.50 and 3.79 will be awarded honors at graduation and qualify for a silver cord.

Students who complete coursework with a cumulative grade point average of 3.80 or higher will be awarded high honors and qualify for a gold cord.

Civically Engaged Scholars

Students who complete the requirement for the Civically-Engaged Scholar program will be awarded a royal blue cord at graduation.

Veterans

Veterans can pick up their cord at the Taylorsville Veterans Center starting March 25th and up until Commencement.

Veterans Services will cover the cost of Commencement Regalia (cap and gown) for all graduating Veterans. A list of eligible students will be sent to the Taylorsville bookstore beginning March 25th. If the application for graduation is submitted after March 25th please contact Veterans Services at 801-957-4289.

First Generations

Are you a First Generation student? First-generation students are defined as: students from families where their biological parents did not complete a four-year college degree.
