The Gender & Sexuality Student Resource Center (GSSRC) at Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) works holistically with womxn and LGBTQ+ students from college access to graduation.
The GSSRC 1) provides programming and events to engage the college community in topics and issues surrounding gender and sexuality; 2) engages specialized college outreach, access, and retention strategies with/for womxn and LGBTQ+ students; 3) increases community-wide awareness of policies affecting current and future womxn and LGBTQ+ students and advocates for policy change as needed; and 4) provides students with a space to engage with others, decompress, and get connected to college and community resources.
The gender and sexuality student resource center is a student-centered multi-use space where diversity, inclusivity and leadership come together. There is a lounge area where you can relax and engage in meaningful conversations. You can also choose to study in the open lounge space, at one of the many computer stations. Students have access to printing and copying of up to 10 pages free a day. Learn more by giving us a call at (801) 957-3413 or by stopping by our center which is located on the South City Campus in Room SCM 1-140. We would love to see you all!!
