Personal Meetings Meetings with your smoking cessation counselor are set once a week according to your schedule. The full program lasts 8 weeks and meetings take from 30-60 minutes. Personal Information Your personal smoking cessation counselor will gather information about your specific smoking habits and triggers in order to determine what cessation course will work best for you. Personal Plan You will determine what method of cessation to use and when you are going to quit. With help of your counselor, you will develop a personal plan to quit smoking. Your cessation counselor will be updated on your progress at your weekly appointments. Access to Services As part of your cessation course you will have access to the Student Clinic, Counseling Center and Massage Therapy as they relate to helping you quit smoking. Lasting Support Your cessation counselor will keep tabs on your progress as well as offer moral support during your cessation. After your course is finished a 3-month, 6-month and 1-year follow-up will be available to help you stay quit.
