After graduation Tricia worked with the AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin as a Prevention Specialist for 1 year. In 1999 she ventured across the US, 1500 miles away from home, to the great state of Utah (long story). Since living in Utah, she has worked at the American Red Cross Greater Salt Lake Area Chapter as their Youth HIV/AIDS Education Coordinator, the University of Utah Student Health Services as their Health Educator in the Office of Health Promotions. Since 2003, she has been the Program Coordinator at SLCC Health and Wellness Services. This position allows her to wear many hats i.e., coordinates special events and presentation in cooperation with peer leaders and HWS staff, creates and present classroom presentations and provides resources to faculty and staff, Advisor for SHAC, and Health and Wellness Advisor for Peer Leadership Council at Redwood and South City Campus.

Tricia loves running, road and mountain biking, hiking, backpacking, camping, swimming, the Green Bay Packers, and playing with her dogs.

After Tatiana’s internship at the University of Utah Student Health Services in the Office of Health Promotion, she was hired as the Health Promotion Specialist at SLCC Health and Wellness Services. Tatiana also serves as an advisor for SHAC and supervises the Health and Wellness PALs. Her interests include health promotion, cardiovascular disease prevention (focusing on prevention in young adults), and stress management.

Alexander has worked for Wasatch Mental Health, Intermountain Specialized Abuse Treatment Center, Pride Counseling, Quantum Hawaiian Retreats and coming in 2010, Quantum Sedona Retreats. During his graduate studies, Alexander spent a semester working in Easter Europe. In Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria, at the American University, Alexander assisted in restructuring the on-campus Student Counseling Center (the only University Counseling Center in Bulgaria). His findings were reported at the 13th Annual Conference for Alliances of Universities for Democracy in November of 2002.

Alexander is experienced in working with couples, anger management, grief and loss, addiction and recovery, trauma and posttraumatic stress disorder, while assisting clients as they create and manifest the life they want to live. Alexander's professional interests include working with the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered community, and people living with HIV.

Previous to joining SLCC James worked in hospice care and in a residential treatment facility for troubled youth.  He also spent a year as a therapist intern in the SLCC Health and Wellness Center while pursuing his MSW at the University of Utah.  James is an enthusiastic reader of resources in the social sciences, humanities, and biological sciences as it is his belief that therapists have a diverse knowledge base concerning all aspects of the human condition.  He believes that the students at SLCC are afforded a unique opportunity to access first rate health services at a very reasonable price and encourages all students to come in for a chat.  After all, we all have something we can learn about ourselves!

Michael is originally from Detroit, MI and has been in Salt Lake since 2002. He has been happily married to his lovely wife, Teresa, since April of 2009. He has two boys, Robert and Joseph.

In what spare time he has, he loves to game, pursue greater physical fitness, and is an avid outdoorsman.

Medical Assistant hired  04/16/2008, moved from Seattle Washington where I resided for sixteen years.  Love working at the college and enjoy the hustle of student life.
