Institutional Marketing & Communications Video Production Video has become a mainstream marketing channel for Salt Lake Community College. Increased bandwidth and internet capability along with development of handheld devices and improvements in computer and video software have brought video capability far beyond the former limitation of broadcast media.
Today, video is transitioning from standard definition (SD) NTSC to newer high definition (HD) formats, creating a number of new size, aspect and frame rate possibilities for HD projects. Institutional Marketing & Communications Video Production (IM&C) now has HD production capability and can output to Blu-Ray (MPEG2 or H.264) or DVD and to digital formats including: P2 MXF, Windows Media, RealMedia, Quicktime, Adobe Flash Video. Our common shooting/editing format is 1280x720 at 23.976 frames-per-second progressive. IM&C Video Production has a complete HD workflow for medium-size venue video projection, taking HD media from acquisition/ingest to output via Sony Blu-Ray player to a 3000-lumen Sanyo PLV-80 HDTV projector. For smaller meeting rooms and trade shows we output from Blu-Ray to a 32-inch HDTV. Please see our Client Information link for information about using IM&C Video Production services. John Morgan |
