Joseph D. Diaz
Director of Institutional Research
Joseph's formal academic training is in research methodology, statistics and social science. He has an M.A. in Economics, a Ph.D. in Sociology, and a background in social science research in the field.
Melba has worked at the College in Institutional Research since October 2002. Her primary duties are office management and administrative functions.
Joyce has been with the College since February 2012, working part-time. She is responsible for creating, processing, scanning and compiling survey information. She is a full-time wife and mother.
Annette joined the IR team in September 2012. She has worked in both full- and part-time capacities at Salt Lake Community College for many years. She has experience with financial and student information data analysis, writing COGNOS reports, and helps compile annual Fact Book for the College.
Database Report Manager
Debbie has worked in Institutional Research since 1986. Her B.S. is in Business Administration and she's completed postgraduate training in COGNOS and data report systems. She is the primary author of the College Fact Book, the sole IPEDS keyholder for the College, and in Summer 2012 became the manager of COGNOS reporting in IR.
Jessie has been an adjunct instructor at Salt Lake Community College, and joined the IR team in October 2012. She is responsible for creating and maintaining the IR dashboard and performing statistical analyses of various types, using various types of data. She is also a doctoral candidate at the University of Utah specializing in quantitative methodology and comparative international Sociology.
