Western Association of Food Chains (WAFC) Certificates

Salt Lake Community College is proud to partner with the Western Association of Food Chains (WAFC) to offer an Industry Certificate of Completion in conjunction with a Certificate of Completion from SLCC’s Division of Management, Marketing and Legal Studies.

Salt Lake Community College offers courses toward a Certificate of Completion in Retail Management. Classes are available at the Taylorsville Redwood Campus and other physical campuses as well as online. The Western Association of Food Chains (WAFC) has developed and also offers a Retail Management Certificate of Completion. This Certification fulfills the WAFC industry certification and provides an academic credential in Retail Management.

With two additional classes (ENG 1010 and BUS 1010) beyond the WAFC industry certification, WAFC employees can also earn the SLCC Certificate of Completion. The Certificate will be posted on the student’s SLCC transcript and the student is eligible for graduation from SLCC. More information about certificates comparison.

Interested students should obtain approval from their store management. In order to participate in the program the first step is to get enrolled at Salt Lake Community College. The best place to do this is through the Salt Lake Community College website.

Here you will be able to navigate the preliminary steps to get moving down the path to earning your credentials towards a better future in the retail management sector.

If you have previous college experience, it may count towards completion of the certificate. This and any additional questions can be answered, once you take the first step by enrolling. Talk to one of the academic advisors already working with students enrolled in other business school programs.
