Salt Lake County is projected to grow at an average annual rate of 1.5 percent over the next 20 years (2008-2028) – slower than the statewide average of two percent. The following series of maps show where growth is anticipated in five year intervals based on projections made by the Wasatch Front Regional Council.
- AAGR of 1.5% from 2008-2028 based on 2008 GOPB preliminary baseline projections.
- In the target age group (15-38) the county is projected to grow at an AAGR of 1.0%
- Salt Lake County is projected to grow more slowly than the State of Utah (2.0%) during the 20-year period.
