Master Esthetics

Courses

A student must either have a license in Basic Esthetics or Barbering/Cosmetology prior to starting the Master Esthetics program. After completion of the 600 hour prerequisite Basic Esthetics course, the Master Esthetics course may be completed in two consecutive semesters beginning fall semester. 

The Master Esthetics program is available beginning the fall semester and runs consecutively through the spring semester.

These courses teach advanced esthetic competencies to fulfill the requirements mandated by the state of Utah to sit for the Master Esthetician license examination. A total of 1200 hours are required by the state of Utah for a Master Esthetician license.

Students will learn microdermabrasion, Synergie cellulite treatments, light therapy, ultra sonic treatments, vacuum treatments, advanced chemical peels, advanced skin care for rosacea, acne and extraction techniques, body treatments and advanced waxing techniques.


EST 1301 Intro to Master Esthetics Lab - 6 credits
Prerequisite: BRC or Basic EST license required; w/EST 1310

EST 1310 Intro to Master Esthetics Theory - 4 credits
Prerequisite BRC or Basic EST license required; w/EST 1301

EST 1401 Master Esthetics Lab - 6 credits
Prerequisite: EST 1301; w/EST 1410

EST 1410 Master Esthetics Theory - 4 credits
Prerequisite: EST 1310; w/EST 1401
