Teaching Statement:

Classes are usually lectures with some time devoted to answering questions from previous lessons.  Students are encouraged to participate and can earn extra credit for significant contributions.  The amount and kind of technology used depends on the course:  Math 1010 has hardly any technology beyond a scientific calculator, while Math 1090 has several projects that students work in groups using Excel spreadsheets.  The only Internet requirement is access to an amortization spreadsheet for Math 1030; none of the classes require lessons to be done and turned in on the Internet.  However, practice problems and old tests are available on the Internet to help students study.
