The Mass Communication Center (MCC) is based on a practicum model that is designed to provide students with quality mass communication instruction with supervised practical applications of theory, which lead to career advancing opportunities.
Students at Salt Lake Community College have an unequaled opportunity to engage in all aspects of today's digital media revolution. The MCC provides any SLCC student with hands on practicum in television, journalism, radio, film, and the Internet.

Students can connect with tomorrow's jobs and ensure future successes by experiencing the broader applications of writing, graphic design, audio production, video production and more in the MCC.
By utilizing practicum projects offered through Communication Department courses, the MCC connects real world experience with real life capacity: any enrolled student is provided the opportunity to create, write, publish and distribute media that interests them.
The MCC has the ability to engage students in all aspects of the new media. Students are able to work in a team environment across different disciplines and develop skills used in the television, journalism, and radio industries.
