Student Resources

Salt Lake Community College has a myriad of resources to assist your student in being successful and becoming familiar with them is the first step in assisting your student.

Orientation & Student Success The Orientation & Student Success office has been trained to know a little bit about everything on campus. We can answer or find the answer to any of yours or your student’s questions.
Admissions OfficeThe Office of Admissions provides information to future students and parents in an effort to help them work through the application and residency process while learning about the academic programs.
Financial Aid Educating students and their families on the types of available financial aid. The financial aid office assists students in completing the FAFSA and informing them of the requirements to keep financial aid.
Scholarships Scholarships can be tricky to find. Check out the SLCC scholarship board to apply for internal and external scholarships to help pay for school!
TRiO & TRiO STEM TRiO provides support for low-income and first-generation college students to access, graduate, and attain their educational, career, and personal goals. Some scholarships can be awarded to students admitted to this program.
Academic Advising
Connection Our advisors are available to help students create a roadmap of the classes needed to successfully complete the intended degree or certificate in order to transfer or enter the workforce.
Career ServicesCareer Services is here to assist students with all things career-related including internships, resume building, and mock interviews.
Veterans Services Veterans Services provides comprehensive assistance and support to all SLCC service members, veterans and dependents.
Tutoring Free tutoring and other subject-specific support services are offered to SLCC students enrolled in any courses at the college.
Disability Resource Center (DRC) Students that require accommodations should register with the Disability Resource Center prior to beginning classes with SLCC.
Dream Center The Dream Center at SLCC works holistically with undocumented students and mixed status families from college access to graduation and or transfer.
Center for Health and Counseling
Connection Students can receive medical care and mental health counseling services for a low-cost co-pay.
