Parking for drivers with disabilities is reserved for students, faculty, staff and visitors who must purchase and display a parking permit or park in a metered area or the pay lot and pay the appropriate fee. Permits may be purchased at Parking Service and at most SLCC cashiers. Day permits may also be purchased from Parking Services, South City Campus Kiosk or Jordan Campus Kiosk. Any visitor displaying a disabled plate or placard may park at a meter for a reasonable time (30 minutes) without charge.
Disability Placard abuse may result in the cancellation and revocation of the placard, loss of the privileges it provides and is punishable by an applicable penalty. All vehicles parked on SLCC campuses must show appropriate authorization to park by displaying an SLCC parking permit, an SLCC day permit, or paying appropriate fees at pay lots or meters. Failure to display parking authorization may result in applicable fines, civil penalties, or other remedies available through Utah Law, the SLCC Student Code of Conduct and other SLCC Policies and Procedures.
