Salt Lake Community College Governance Documents
On November 2, 2005 Salt Lake Community College held a college-wide strategic planning day, comprised of two planning sessions. Both sessions were facilitated by nationally-recognized community college facilitator Dr. Jeff Hockaday.
The first session, comprised of representative SLCC constituents—faculty, staff, administrators, business leaders and community members, legislators and media personnel—assessed the College’s role and future within the larger community. All College personnel were invited to the second session to help create objectives and action plans for the coming three years.
The College created a draft of goals addressing, among others: quality higher education, life-long learning, diversity, and serving the needs of the community. These goals will now be reviewed by the Board of Trustees and a final version will be published.
