Emergency Medical Technician

The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course is 13 weeks in length and the tuition is $1480.00, plus books approximately $150.00 and State Certification fee resident $160.00, non-resident $195.00. If a student is not already CPR State Certified there is a certification class available in conjunction with the EMT class for $45.00. Classes are taught Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., or Thursday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

Financial Aid is available for those who qualify. All applicants must register as a Salt Lake Community College student the cost is $40.00, and the applications can be submitted online, or at any of the Admission offices. This must be completed first to enable registration for the EMT courses.

The Advanced course is taught on Thursday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the Summer semester. The course is $800.00.
