COVID-19 Update

All campus recreation facilities require face coverings in all areas through the end of Spring Semester 2021.

Salt Lake Community College Campus Recreation promotes health and wellbeing through inclusive dynamic, collaborative and transformative quality experiences and facilities.

Drop-in Fitness Classes

Drop-in fitness classes will end Friday April 30, 2021. Summer Fitness Schedule will be posted May 11, 2021 and will begin May 17 with additional classes being added June 2, 2021. Summer classes will go through August 6, 2021.

Drop-in fitness classes are available for students to attend just for fun. All classes are held in LAC 176

  • Reservations can be made using the link below up to 3 days in advance or day of (if availability allows).
  • Masks must be worn at all times, including during class.
  • On the day of class, check in at the LAC desk, they will confirm your reservation and issue you a class card that will be given to the instructor.

Sports and Fitness Class Reservation

Mondays

  • 7-8 a.m. CorePilatesBarre
    • A mix of Pilates, ballet inspired exercises, yoga, and athletic conditioning with a fun mix of equipment for total body work.
  • 10-11 a.m. Cycling
    • A great workout that uses specialized stationary bikes. Learn cycling techniques & how to maintain/improve cardiovascular health. You will work through low to vigorous intensities which incorporate the concept of power analysis.
  • 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Zumba
    • A fun fusion of Latin and International music that combines Latin/international rhythms with dance and aerobic moves for a fun cardiovascular workout.

Tuesdays

  • 7:00am – 8:00am Indoor Cycling
    • A great workout that uses specialized stationary bikes. Learn cycling techniques & how to maintain/improve cardiovascular health. You will work through low to vigorous intensities which incorporate the concept of power analysis.
  • 8:30am – 9:30am Zumba
    • A fun fusion of Latin and International music that combines Latin/international rhythms with dance and aerobic moves for a fun cardiovascular workout.
  • 12:00pm – 1:00pm Pickleball
    • Equipment provided.
  • 6:30pm – 9:00pm Volleyball
  • 7:00pm – 8:00pm Power Yoga
    • A Zen filled hour of yoga

Wednesdays

  • 7:00am – 8:00am CorePilatesBarre

    • An energetic workout that will involve cardio kickboxing, kickboxing bags, intervals, weights and core for one fun dynamic hour.
  • 10:30-11:30 a.m. Stages Beat Cycling
    • A cycling workout with scorching music, fun moves and toning to elevate your mood.  Nothing compares to a rockin’ hour on the bike.  Come prepared for a sizzling good time.
  • 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Yoga
    • A Zen-filled hour of yoga.

Grand Opening of the new LAC Nap Room - Starting April 19

Don’t head for your car. Reserve a spot in our brand new Nap Room in the LAC.

A quiet, clean, private and locked room with fan, white noise machine, and a massage table with disposable sheets are available for a half hour reservation.

Bring your own blanket and pillow (lockers are available for repeat nappers).

Use the button below to purchase memberships, punch cards or passes. You must present your receipt at the front desk along with your picture ID.

Purchase Memberships

Currently registered students with their activated SLCC One Card are eligible to use the SLCC Recreation Facilities at Redwood, South and Jordan when open for Student/Faculty/Staff general use (please make a reservation before attending the LAC at Redwood).

Faculty and staff with a current SLCC One Card or Fob are eligible to use the SLCC Recreation Facilities when open for Student/Faculty/Staff general use (please make a reservation before attending the LAC at Redwood).

Alumni are eligible to purchase memberships at the faculty/staff significant other rates to use the SLCC Recreation Facilities.

Alumni will need to display their Alumni SLCC One Card when entering the facility.

Requires proof of cohabitation. Primary member must have current SLCC One Card or fob. Current students can purchase one significant other pass per semester.

Dependents of current students, ages 15 and above, who are currently living at home are eligible to be the “significant other” for students, faculty and staff with a few conditions.

  • Sponsoring student/faculty or staff must be 18 years of age and must be present at all times with their dependent.
  • A weight and cardio room orientation must be completed before dependents ages 15-17 are allowed to use the workout equipment.

Registration for camps, workshops or conferences at the LAC will be handled by the respective department. 

Students, faculty and staff are eligible to purchase 5 guest passes per semester. To use the guest pass the

  • Sponsoring student/faculty or staff must be present with their guest.
  • All guests are required to adhere to the SLCC Student Code of Conduct.

Community members are eligible to purchase a fitness class punch card for Recreation Fitness Classes. Entry to SLCC recreation facilities is only available 10 minutes before class time and class participants must exit after their class is complete.
