GED Test Preparation (KGED)

Hours vary depending on student needs.

The GED Test Preparation course is designed for individual student study to prepare for the GED exam. Resource material is available for individual lessons and practice in the tested areas of mathematics, writing skills, social science, science, and interpreting literature and the arts. Reading and test-taking tips are presented in the course to lessen test anxiety and encourage confidence. The Integrated Learning Lab also is used to strengthen classroom instruction and to prepare the student for the final GED exam. Three hours of classroom instruction are GED, writing, and math. Additional hours, as needed: math or Integrated Learning Lab. GED tests are administered through SLCC Student Testing Services at the Taylorsville Redwood Campus, (801) 957-4627.  All registrations must be completed through the following GED Testing Service site: http://www.gedtestingservice.com/ged-testing-service
