Feel like a movie? Take one of the last opportunities you'll have to watch a movie under the stars this year before the weather turns cold. We will be showing one of this summer's biggest box office hits Maleficent. There will be FREE popcorn and drinks. We want to invite all SLCC students, staff, and faculty and their families and friends. The general community is also invited. Everything is FREE.

Leave your Mark on America

Put on your patriotic pants! Students will be invited to leave a hand print on a canvas sheet to make an American flag. This will leave a lingering appreciation for the men and women to selflessly serve our country. We also want to help everyone remember we are all Amercian's, it doesn't matter what color your skin is or what religion you are. So we encourage you to join us at the Grand Theatre at South City Campus on Thursday, September 11 for a special showing and Q&A of the film  "The Muslims Are Coming". This movie uses comedy to help overcome Islamophobia.

"The Muslims are Coming" Film Screening and Q&A
Grand Theatre, South City Campus
The Muslims Are Coming is a big film that follows a band of Muslim-American comedians as they visit big cities, small towns, rural villages, and everything in between to combat Islamophobia! Part of this documentary is filmed in Salt Lake City, Utah. Join us for a FREE screening of the film and a Q&A after with the creators.

As part of Disability Awareness Week, comedian Sam Comroe will share his insightful and hilarious stories of his life with Tourette Syndrome. Sam made his TV debut this year on the Conan Show. Come see Sam for some FREE laughs.

The Masquerade Ball is a dance open to all students attending SLCC, no matter their age. Bring a date, come with a group of friends, or come by yourself, it doesn't matter because this is going to be a night you won't forget. We encourage students to dress up in formal attire. Come socialize and make new friends. Show your school spirit and join us for a night full of fun, mystery, and intrigue!

Selected students from the Health Science programs, such as nursing, dental hygiene, and others will sit on a panel and explore an issue(s) within the school to help fellow students suffering from the same issues find answers. Also if you are considering a career in the health science field this will be great opportunity to ask your fellow students questions to find out how you can get enrolled in classes.
