To write love on her arms is a non-profit organization that brings hope to the table and help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, & suicide.
Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at the South City Campus in the Grand Theater
Join us for a Cirque-Tacular evening as acrobats take the stage dancing, flying and swinging from the ceiling. It will be an evening you won't forget. Tickets are free for current SLCC students and $5 for community. You can pick up your tickets at the information desk at all SLCC campuses, get them soon cause they're going fast.

The Broadway-bound Rhythmic Circus will be making on more stop at SLCC. The live performance company is known for transforming their tap shoes into instruments of rhythm. Current SLCC students, staff, and faculty can pick up their FREE tickets at the Grand Theatre Box Office or the Info Desks at the Taylorsville Rwd, Jordan, or South City Campus. Community members can purchase tickets at the Grand Theatre Box Office or online at http://tickets.slcc.edu, Tickets: Adult $5, Children 12 and under or with a non-SLCC student I.D. $3, and children 3 and under are free.

Movie Under the Stars: Mirror, Mirror
Thursday, June 28 at 8:30 pm at the Taylorsville Rwd Campus West Amphitheater Lawn
Come and check out the movie "Mirror, Mirror", a retelling of the classic Snow White tale with a little twist. The event is FREE for everyone, so bring your friends, family, and anyone else you can think of. We will have FREE pizza, popcorn, and drinks. Don't forget your blanket. See you there.

Shot of Reality
Tuesday, October 23 at 12 pm at the Taylorsville Rwd Campus in the Student Center in the SEC
"A Shot of Reality" provides an honest, engaging, humorous and sober new look at alcohol awareness on campus, educating students about encountering alcohol in a college environment. Two performers present the show in the form of a birthday party using hilarious acts while involving the audience. Event is free for anyone and everyone.
Hunger and Homelessness Week
Monday, November 12 from 8am to 6pm at the Taylorsville Rwd Campus in the Student Center in the SEC
Hunger and Homelessness week is a week of activites that is dedicated to raising awareness about the issues of hunger, homelessness, and poverty and inspire people to get up and do something about it. Most of our events are free and open to the public. Gloriana is the only event that will cost money. You can buy them at the information desks and Student Life & Leadership or Smithtix. $5 for students. $20 for community members. If you have any questions e-mail email@example.com.
Have You Seen Clem? This movie will help to provide an insight into the lives of those without a home and how day to day life can be more than we suspect for those we never talk with in our day. The movie will show on the Taylorsville Redwood Campus, Student Center, Student Event Center. 8:00am 6:00pm
Christmas with Eclipse
December 13 at 7:30pm at the South City Campus in the Grand Theatre
The award-winning acappella group Eclipse is back for their 8th annual Christmas Concert. Eclipse's signature sound features tight harmonies, driving percussion, and infectious energy; all produced using just one instrument--the human mouth. They have traveled the globe and are excited to be coming back to SLCC. This will be a great way to get into the holiday spirit! Thursday December 13th is SLCC night. All SLCC students, staff, and faculty can pick up a voucher good for up to 4 FREE tickets at any of the Student Life & Leadership Offices (TR Campus STC124, SCC W128, Jordan Campus Student Pavilion). If you're not able to make it for the SLCC night, you can receive a $3 discount with your One Card off of a ticket for Eclipse's Friday, December 14 or Saturday, December 15 shows. Those tickets can be purchased at the Grand Theatre Box Office.

From Mozart to Radiohead, SYBARITE5’s eclectic repertoire and dynamic performance style is turning heads throughout the music world. The first string quintet ever selected as winners of Concert Artists Guild International Competition in its 60 year history. SYBARITE5 has taken audiences by storm all across the US, forever changing the perception of chamber music performance. “Their rock star status in the classical crossover world is well deserved. Their classically honed technique mixed with grit and all out passionate attack transfixes the audience...” says the The Sarasota Herald Tribune. From the moment their bows hit the strings, this quintet of talented, diverse musicians takes the audience on an exciting ride that engages the senses and redefines the rules. Tickets will be available at the Info Desks at the Taylorsville Redwood, Jordan, and South City Campus. Tickets are $TBD for students, and $10 for community members, dinner is included. Dinner will begin at 6:30pm and the concert will start at 7:00pm. Don't miss out on this incredible performance.
Film Festival Spring Submission Deadline

Are you a filmmaker? Then you need to enter the 6th Annual SLCCSA Film Festival. We will be accepting entries on March 13 and 14 from 12-4pm at the Taylorsville Redwood Campus in the Student Center room 124, and at the South City Campus in W141. We will be accepting entries before those dates, but those can only be submitted to room 124 in the Student Center at the Taylorsville Redwood Campus. The fee is only $10, and all fees collected are given to the film chosen for the Audience Choice Award. You can print off a registration form at www.slcc.edu/sll. How did a kid with a wooden leg take on Tinseltown? Find out when Erik Stolhanske, writer, director, and an actor in such films as Super Troopers and Beerfest, comes and talks about his poignant and often humorous story of overcoming obstacles of being born without a fibula. This event is FREE to students. There will also be free popcorn and drinks.
6th Annual SLCCSA Film Festival: Watch and Vote!
April 15-19th all day
Watch and vote for your favorite SLCC student submitted films in our 6th Annual Film Festival at www.slccfilmfestival.blogspot.com. The student film that receives the most votes will win the Audience Choice Award (you can only vote for one film). If you are a SLCC student, when you vote you will be entered to win a prize (still determining the prize). Voting will close at midnight on April 19. Support your fellow SLCC filmmakers and watch their films, we are home to some very talented people.

Join us for the 6th Annual SLCCSA Film Festival Awards Ceremony. Come and ENJOY dinner and some movies. Our students have worked hard on their film submissions this year so come and support them. Discover which film makers will walk home with this years top awards. The event is FREE, but you must pick up your tickets from the Information Desk at the Taylorsville Redwood, South City, or Jordan Campus. Limit 2 per person. Dinner is included.
